Current Volunteer Opportunities

Office Administrative Work - help with bookkeeping, data entry, photocopying, preparing mailings, sorting donated items, and assembling survivor bags

Special Events - assist with info tables, help with check-in and lead an outreach team for Not In My City, secure sponsors and recruit participants for Light Up The Dark 5K, organize silent auction for Restoring Innocence Luncheon

Community Presentations - give presentations about human trafficking and Unbound to community groups, assist with info tables, photography, A/V set up, setting out materials, etc.

Medical Trainers - facilitate training on human trafficking to healthcare providers

Youth Prevention - empower local youth to keep themselves and others out of exploitative situations: give classroom and assembly presentations, 5-week discussion oriented groups, outreach at shelters, coordinate with shelters and youth organizations to start new prevention groups, organize trainings and facilitators

Survivor Advocacy - assist with transportation, support groups, childcare, crisis response and unexpected needs, male outreach/mentors, facilitate weekly discussion groups in jail for women healing from sexual exploitation

Follow these Steps to become a Volunteer:

Due to the nature of our work, prospective volunteers must complete ALL of the following steps. Once you are cleared to volunteer, we will reach out to you regarding training for your specific area(s) of interest.

While we gladly welcome volunteers from any background/belief system, and our programs are not faith-based, Unbound is a ministry of Antioch Community Church.

Step 1: Volunteer Application

The information you share on this application will be kept confidential and disclosed only to those who have a genuine need to know in order to carry out their responsibility with Unbound, or as required by law. The purpose of obtaining this information is to protect you, Unbound, and Unbound’s clients. Failure to complete any of the steps will result in an inability to serve with Unbound.

Step 5: Background Check

Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Nicole Chaffee, at to visit about your application and area of interest BEFORE completing the background check. She will also be able to give you the PASSWORD to begin your background check process.

Our desire is provide a safe environment. In order to volunteer you must complete and clear a background check, which includes a Social Security Number Verification, Address History, Nationwide Sex Offender Registry, Multi-State Criminal Search, and Single County Searches. Your information will remain confidential.

Completing and covering the cost ($44.72) of the background check is the responsibility of the volunteer. Your covering of this important process, allows Unbound to use those would-be costs to better support survivors. Click the button below to begin the process. The site will walk you through the information and payment process. Please know we are not able to accept background checks from other providers. We will receive the results directly from the provider.
