Immigration status • Homelessness/Couch Surfing • History of sexual, physical, emotional abuse • Drug or alcohol use • Running away • LGBTQ+ • Family Troubles • Loneliness


Are you in an unhealthy relationship? Think about why you are staying in that relationship.

•Fear •Shame •Threats •Blackmail/sextortion •Addiction •Violence •Trauma Bonding •Coercion

Are you worried about someone? Here are some red flags to look for in someone you care about:

•Tattoos or branding •Involvement in commercial sex industry •Not free to come or go •Shows signs of abuse/violence/assault •Unpaid or paid very little •Recruited through false promises •Lacks access to money or ID

Red flags in youth/students:

•Missing school a lot/change of performance in school •Older boyfriend/girlfriend/friends •Gang involvement •New, expensive clothing and accessories •Dramatic change of behavior or language: i.e. ‘Daddy’, ‘the life’, etc.
